Why am I receiving a notification from facebook saying that someone wants to remember my birthday?

I deleted my birthday in facebook. Now I am receiving notifications from facebook saying someone wants to remember my birthday?

Why does this happen?

It might be a birthday application. It's where someone downloads this app and requests everyones birthday so they can be notified when its your birthday.

its a calendar app on facebook its just so they get a message when its your birthday so they can wish you a happy birthday on your birthday. I dont believe that this tells everyone your birthday just that person.

You have to be careful with this stuff. Delete doesn't mean delete on Facebook. It means "sort of move to the back till Facebook have finished using it and sold it to as many people as they can".
