How comes men seem to spoil little girls?

my sister has 2 kids, a boy and girl both as cute as each other, his a year younger. the majority of her friends on her facebook are guys, and she has pictures of her daughter and son, the daughter has like 20 likes and comments from guys saying how "prettyy and cute" she is, and the boy only has like 2 likes from girls!

it seems to me that my dad and brother has a soft spot for little girls and spoil them, show them extra attention but are indifferent about boys! why is this?
