How Should I go about introducing myself too....?
So, I have an Older Half-sister who I've never met(We share the same father)

I'm sure she doesn't even know I exist, But I've found her on facebook and I'm wondering how should I go about contacting her, as too not scare her?

All help appreciated.

Can you talk to your dad or another family member? Maybe have them help break the ice? If not, then contact her as a buddy on face book and get to know her a little bit. This is a tough one because you may shatter her world and she might not be too happy about that. Hopefully that would be just an initial reaction though. If you chat for a while first she may be more accepting of the situation and glad you made the effort to reach out to her. Good luck on this one.

Well you can always juss add her as a friend, dont mention anything at first. Then a little later juss say something like, So is your dad.. so and so..? Or you know? If you really wanna get to know her sometimes you juss have to be blunt. Hey I think we might be related, that would be an okay thing to say, but wait until she adds you first so shes doesnt deny the friendship thinking you were a crazy person. Good luck, hope I helped :]

Seeing you found her on facebook is great! You could actually communicate and introduce yourself there which still leaves room for you guys to meet if she is really interested in exploring the potential sibling relationship you hope to share. I would attempt to introduce myself there and let her know immediately why I am contacting her (you don't want her to think you are just another guy trying to date her or something); and then see what happens at that point.
