How to get a girlfriend(coming from a 19 year old male)?

Alright I'm 19, never had a girlfriend and would like to get one real soon. I work at a supermarket as a stock clerk and there's this nice looking girl who works at the register. According to her facebook status she's single. I know her pretty well but not a hell of a lot. Any advice on how to ask her out?

Don't plan and rehearse what you're going to say, and then try to be like Obama with the Teleprompter. You need to act and stop thinking about it. That's largely the problem.

In addition, focus more on building your life than girls, to the greatest extent possible.

If you dont already, talk to her more during your shifts and get a feel that way in knowing if she would be interested. Talk about current movies that are out and ask her casually if she'd like to see one with you...or you could straight out, ask her out.

Talk some more to her, see if she's interested in you, enthusiastically responding questions. If so, you can ask her if she wants to go out some time/see that cool movie/eat at a cool place.
