Does anybody know how to delete an account in facebook?

Ok, my question is, 'does anybody know how to delete an account in facebook?' because it is bothering me alot so I want to quit facebook but luckily I dont know how? Is it like myspace where you go in setting and delete your profile and etc? if so, can anybody help me?

Well, first click on settings on the top right of the page, then account settings and click on deactivate.

As previously stated above, go to account settings and click deactivate account. However, if you decide later that you want to reactivate your account, you can do so. Your account is never permanently deactivated. My sister has deactivated and reactivated her account many times.

Not only can you deactivate your account, you can permanently DELETE it. You can DELETE your account where all of your info, pics, and everything you have in your count is permanently removed and erased from Facebook -- you won't be able to get it back.

Click the blue Submit button and your account will be permanently deleted and gone forever. Make sure you log-in before using the link; otherwise, you'll get a generic contact form.
