Facebook say they will be sending less emails, will my blackberry still display notifications?

Like many of you no doubt, I woke up this morning to an email from facebook. It says they will not be sending individual emails for each notification anymore. Does this mean the facebook blackberry app won't work anymore? As it works by filtering out emails from facebook I think! The email does say I can update my account setting to carry on sending them individually, but do I need to?

Theres a feature that let's you turn the individual emails on or off you should find it in the settings but no, it won't

Facebook notifications is different from email notifications. If you activate Facebook Notifications on your Blackberry, you will get a notification every time you get a message, someone posts on your wall, tags you, etc.

E-mail notifications don't have anything to do with Blackberry, these are the notifications that go to your e-mail address(Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc). What facebook promised is to send less e-mail (to your e-mail address)

Check out your notification settings and you will see that there is one option to turn off facebook notifications and there is another completely different option to turn off e-mail notifications.
