Why does my photobucket picture have so many views when it's private?
?? I just uploaded it the other day and linked it to my boyfriend in a facebook message, unless he viewed it 20 times, haha.
no nudity, just holding a funny sign.

There are a ton of private links made public due to hackers. If you've got nudes on photobucket, chances are the Internet now has them.

Hey there!

When you link a photo it makes that one image public. When people view the image on Facebook, click on it and view it in Photobucket or share that link, all of these views are public. It doesn't make your album public but when you post a link anywhere on the internet, that makes the link public.

You can check your Home --> Stats page to see where your images are being viewed. If they are all sites you recognize, then congratulations you've posted something interesting and everyone is looking at it! If they aren't sites that you recognize then maybe Jeremy (previous poster) is correct in saying that your image was hacked. If this is the case, the fix is easy, you just need to open the image in Photobucket, then go to the Photo Info box (bottom right) and change the filename. This will break the link that is being used out there and your accounts bandwidth won't be taxed.

If you need more help email us at support@photobucket.com and we can clarify this further.
