How do I show my boyfriend it's wrong?

My boyfriend changed his facebook profile picture to a girl that he is nearly always with. He says they're 'just friends'. I think it kinda hurts that he did this especially since that girl is his ex-girlfriend. I know he's not cheating on me, I know this but how do I reply to his messages to show that something is wrong? I tried sending less hearts and kisses but he doesn't realise. How can I show him in my messages that something is wrong without actually telling him anything?

you have to tell him that you two need to talk. guys don't usually pick up on little hints from girls because they aren't as perceptive in that way. they need to be told things straightforward because otherwise they will think you're playing a game with their minds.

Most guys are kinda lame (no offense, guys!) and they will not pick up on subtle hints that you're upset, especially if they don't feel they've done anything wrong. Your best bet is to be open and honest with him and say "I understand so and so is a good friend of yours but it kinda bothers me that you have a picture of her as your profile picture." It's possible that he didn't even realize that it would upset you. Or maybe he did and he's just a jerk. If that's the case, then move on. But it's probably just a misunderstanding that you can clear up with a little chat. Don't freak out, scream, throw things, or get all crazy. Just talk to him calmly about it so he'll understand. Just tell Him. And if He "blows it off" or you're still not Happy with His explanation- then start looking for a New Boyfriend...
