What do girls get out of giving each other endless comments about how beautiful they are on Facebook?

I'm not a hater I just want to understand, why it is that on Facebook there are always girls putting comments on their girlfriends pictures that say things like "gawjussss" "you look so pretty," "arent we all so delish" "yummy"

We love hearing how good we look, even if our girlfriends are lying, it makes us feel happy just to hear it.
If you want a girlfriend, or want to keep one, I'd start on the complimenting thing too!

Girls are under tremendous pressure to look "hot" so boys will be attracted to them...it's just how mother nature works...i guess they are just pumping each other up...plus girls care what other girls think, where as guys could give a rats a** what other guys think...lol

I never do that. Though, I don't see anything wrong with it. I notice a lot of guys are fake and super-bland on Facebook which can be funny, sometimes. When it gets extreme, though, then I understand that it can be annoying.
