My brother has a big stuttering problem?
My brother is 8 years old and he has a very big stuttering problem. He normally has trouble saying words that start with the T W H I M and C letters. Sometime it would take like a whole minute to say a sentence. Is there a specific cause for this and is there a solution? He took speech therapy for like a month but it seems to have gotten worse.

Well I don't know if there is a cause for stuttering because I suffer from it as well. I still suffer from stuttering since I was in kidagarten and now I am 24 years old. I used to stutter like a chainsaw but now I don't stutter as much because back then my parents would make me read aloud such as poetry or books. This helped me get used to saying the letters that suffered through the most to saying it properly and clearly with one try. I hope this helped and good luck!

Try therapy or maybe call his doctor and see if he/she has any recommendations.

"he trusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts"

have him try saying that over and over again. if it doesn't help it should sure make for some entertainment.

"Self Therapy for the Stutterer" published by The Stuttering Foundation of America worked wonders for my family members who stuttered after working through it step by step. The book can be found here http://www.stutteringhelp.org/Portals/En...1th_ed.pdf . It is great for those who do not have access to speech therapy.
