if I have the privacy settings to "friends only" How is it possible for anyone to see my page if they're no t friends?

usually you can't.
BUT when was the last time facebook sent out a notice that their privacy features weren't working? I believe I heard it on the news last wed or thurs... so you can't trust facebook to work properly.

if your friends or places you post are not as secure as your "friends only", these posts might be accessible.

you never know when someone works for the company that somehow has some connection to you...

Generally it's not. Where your information leaks out is when someone re-posts something you post on their page, you get tagged in a picture, or you belong to a group that suddenly goes public - without you noticing. And it happens all the time.

Rule of thumb: Don't post anything you wouldn't want a judge, jury or your mother to see in a courtroom.
