Well it takes a long time to reach that status. First, you need to build up a network on youtube. Yea, it may sound like a lot of work, it is, but if you do it, it will work! This means befriending people, (even completely random users), subscribe to a ton of channels, comment/rate videos like none other. Second, if you belong to any fan club message boards, post the link on their off topic page. People will watch, just don't sign up to a fan club just for that, you will get reemed. Third, post your link on myspace and facebook. That way your friends and family can watch. Even email people who don't have a facebook. Fourth, which has helped me a lot. On this site, Yahoo Answers, ask people how your video is and that you would like some feedback. They will watch it, rate, and comment. I'm doing this now and have over hundreds of views from this page alone. This I found to be an excellent tool, not only to you gain more views, but you get to talk to the viewer to see what they like/don't like about your videos.

Now, do what I do. Ask people if they'd view after they ask you to view theirs.

So could you view mine, rate it, and comment it. I'll subscribe to you and be youtube friends. Your first start to networking. Do this, and I'll view yours too. Thank you, and hope my answer helps.

Step 1
Do it yourself. You don't need a professional video crew to make a good YouTube video. In fact some of the most downloaded videos are ones created by ordinary people with a digital camera.
Step 2
Keep it short. Keep your video to under two and a half minutes. Any longer and it takes to long to load and viewers may lose interest if it takes them too long to get to the point.
Step 3
Properly describe what the video is about. YouTube allows you to enter in some text to briefly describe what the video is about. Make sure you description tells potential viewers what they will be watching and why.
Step 4
Tell everyone. Now that you have a video, you think it is a good one, tell everyone you know. You have an email list of friends, relatives, neighbors and so on. Send them the link to your YouTube video. Ask them to rate it and if they enjoy it to pass it along to everyone on their email list.
Step 5
Social network. Hit all the social network sites. i.e. MySpace, Facebook, Indocquent and so on. Post a link to the YouTube video there. Also hit the social bookmark sites (Furl, Stumble, Digg).
