How do you hide certain people's notifications on my feed wall on Facebook?

Some just post way more than I'd like to know, and it gets really annoying. I know you can do it when they request to be your friend, but don't know how to block their notifications after you're friends with them.

Ahhh! I totally hate this entire family that does that!(the mother, 40, and three daughters, 15, 13, and 9)do that EVERYTIME they get on. They take like, 50 quizzes and make at least 15 statuses(news flash; NO ONE cares).. I just deleted two so I could handle the other two.. I know, I know.. Neanderthal is I.. lol. Sorry I basically wasted an answer!

well when the post them and you see them there should be something on the side where they posted it that says edit or delete or something like that but im not %100 percent sure.

The next time they post something, move your mouse over the upper right corner of that post on your new feed. It will say "Hide" and you can hide either the person or the application.
