Why do i keep getting weird notifications on facebook?

i keep getting these weird facebook notifications that one of my friends posted something on my wall, but when i go to check there is nothing there? WTF? I had like 12 notifications of my friends posting "something" on my wall but nothing is there NEED HELP

Just hide these notifications,they can get pretty annoying.
Their not actually posting anything on your wall,its an app.
Got to notifications on the bottom right,see all,then on the side look for the icon of the 'wall post' app,and hide it.

Same here!! it's a virus.
It's not you, it's the friend that has the virus called (bookface)
it also sends 'unreal' messages that werent really sent by the person.
So if you see any kind of links don't press on them

Go to "Settings" > "Application Settings" and turn off notifications from applications that send those notifications. That happens to me. It is just a way to advertise the app and make you interested on the app so you can use it.
