What should I do if someone else is using my e-mail for an acount on twitter?

I tried to join twitter and it said that the e-mail was already being used. I have no clue on what I should do.

Make another email account. I have one for important stuff and junk mail or if something asks you to sign up for something

Do you mean your email address, or a handle / user name?

If email address, then your email account is compromised. Change password. With that you will be able to 'reset password' at twitter and take control of it.

If you mean user name, then a handle such as Raven is used by tens of thousands of people on tens of thousands of sites - pick another handle.

On twitter log in fill in your name and click on
Forgot Password and they will send an email
to your main email with a code to reset
That email will probably land in the Spam folder
