How come i can't change my relationship status on facebook?

I know and have read about going into the options and stuff like that to change it. The only problem is that when i click on the edit it just comes up with my birthday and nothing else to edit. Also i think it is a software problem. It does this with all other things i edit. Is there some software i need to download? Get rid of? Help! Please! I just got a new girlfriend and i want to change my status please!

You click profile, info, then there's a button near the top of the page that says "edit information" Click that and you should be able to.

First click Profile --> the Info tab --> then there's something that says Edit information. Click that, and you can edit your status there.
Also please note that your relationship status won't change UNTIL your new girlfriend confirms that this is true. Goodluck!
