someone liked a photo i was tagged in on facebook, am i supposed to get a notification?

someone (who i am friends with) liked my friends photo that i was tagged in, i didn't get a notification for this? why didn't i get a notification for this?
how do i change my options so i do get a notification for this? I clicked see all notifications but there was no option to get a notification for liking? help !

yes , you will get a notifications, you don't need to change your settings because it is automatically made by facebook

There is no notification for liking a picture you are tagged in, but you will get a notification if someone likes a pic you post.

However, if you go to Account in the upper right hand corner, click account settings, and then go to notifications you can change what you get emails for (liking a picture or status is not an option for email notifications). Notifications in FB should be automatic.

If it is not your photo, you will not get a notification and you cant change it. You will only get a notification if someone liked your photo, or someone tagged you in a photo, or if someone commented on your photo. You can check what you get notifications for by Clicking Account and click Account Settings. Click Notifications. Choose want you want to get a notification for.
