Should I get a facebook without my mom knowing?
She is really strict, and I already asked her, but I want to talk to my friends that go to a different school. She doesn't even let me text, so I do it(without her knowing) on my ipod touch. I am thinking of getting a facebook, but would I get caught (my mom doesn't have a fb and my brother in college monitors us through internet) If I get one, how do I block him? Thanks!

Your mom has the right to know that you are getting facebook, So yes she should know anyway.

Very easy.

Tell your brother to stop checking up on you and tell your mom to grow up.

It's your life and yours only. If you want to facebook or text do so and tell your mom to stick it
where the sun don't shine.

Smile

OK, your mom is definitely a bit too strict.
I know I shouldn't answer, but anyway...

When you open a facebook account, you can:
a) go into options and forbid other people from finding you, or even tagging you in the photos.
b) find your brother's profile and click on "block this person"

Good luck kid!

I think you should stand up to her. I know what its like, my dad was crazy with me about religion. I stood up to him, and showed him in his face exactly what I'm doing. It was hell, but worth it. Even if your mom punishes you etc., I personally feel that there is no point in hiding it because she'll have to accept you eventually. I'm not sure how old you are, but when you become a teen, you'll want to go to clubs, be more independent and rebellious. Is your mom going to stop you from that? Stand up to her now, so that you'll be more independent and free when you are older. Plus, you won't be able to ask anyone to block the fact that you want to go to clubs... Think long term.

I wish you the best luck, as this is a sensitive matter to me,
Benny
