How can I hide my relationship status on Facebook?

My boyfriend and I broke up very briefly and changed our status to nothing on Facebook. But now we're back together, I'd like to change it back to being in a relationship with each other. The thing is, I don't want it showing up on the newsfeed and have comments etc. I've put my settings so that when a relationship ends, it doesn't show on newsfeed - does this work for when a relationship begins as well?

just dont put it on there... so you dont have to choose.

Just go to accounts settings and then privacy. You can set each and everything private from there.
