How can a parent justify being a deadbeat?
How can a parent justify being a deadbeat.
I'm a single dad who sons mom rarely shows any interest in our son. After 3 years I've gotten her to agree to child support but all she agreed to was $25 a month. She skips three out of 4 visits typicaly and dosent think there's anything wrong with doing that. She texts over saying she's got a headache Or she too buissy. Ads |

Because they never wanted children to begin with but weren't responsible enough to prevent having them or had them for reasons they shouldn't have.

In most cases they don't "justify" it per say. They are just to selfish to recognize that there is a problem.
If I were you, I would go through the court systems. Just because you're a man doesn't mean that you don't have any rights (Though I will totally admit that men kinda get cheated more often than not) but you will get better representation than you are right now. What she's doing isn't ok. |

Sounds like my house =( it breaks my heart to have to sit back and watch my sd & ss "mom" do the same thing to them day in & day out w/out even a phone call, child support, or anything contribution what so ever.. she too sees nothing wrong w/what she is doing.. she gave birth to them & in her mind that's all that is required of a mother.. unfortunately u cant change people & she may never realize what she has done wrong.. all we can do as the dependable parents is all the things shes not.. hope this helped a little to know ur not alone.. & when hes old enough to say he wants nothing to do w/her it'll b her own fault

My first question is do you have court ordered custody? If not, she can still take the child away from you.
