in the state of missouri how long does it take someone to be served custody papers after they are filed?

Im wondering how long usually after someone files custody papers does it take for them to be served. Also if anyone knows. How long after they get served how long do they have to respond to the papers? If they respond with a lawyer what happens? If they dont have the money for a lawyer what happens?
