How do I get my iPhone 4s to get facebook notifications?

I have just got the iPhone 4s and when i get a notification on facebook it is not sending it to my iphone, I am logged in on facebook and in iPhone settings it is on push notifications, everything seems to be turned on.

go on facebook and look for the facebook app and it will give you this code and then you text the letter f to 36225 and then it will give you a code and then you put it in the box that will come up on the screen.

Do you have the facebook app or are you on facebook using safari? if you have the app downloaded,you just go to general,notifications and look for the facebook app under "In Notification Center" and then switch "Notification Center" to on and choose the alert style you want.
