What should I write on an old boyfriend's facebook for his birthday?

We have been apart for many years, but recently reconnected through facebook. He wrote something really nice for my birthday, now I don't know what to write on his.

That's really not something that should be taken from people who don't know your situation. It's just not genuine. However, nice things you could say would include "Happy birthday" (of course), "I'm glad we've been able to resolve our differences and reconnect," and possibly, "I just met you, and this is crazy, but it's your birthday so call me maybe?" (couldn't resist).
