I wouldn't take it. It has Windows Mobile on it which is, in my opinion, pure crap. If you want a Samsung phone, get what they're known for, their Android phones. In fact, pretty much any Android phone will do the job you want it to.

It has Skype and a front facing camera. As for apps, the Focus S runs Windows Phone 7 (WP7) so there aren't as many apps compared to the iPhone or any Android phone. There are great third party alternatives to some of the missing official apps. Don't run when you hear "Windows," it's pretty decent. It's Windows Phone, not Windows Mobile - now that was horrible.

The good:
- easy to use and buttery smooth, no lagging when scrolling through menus and so on
- very stable, the only crashes are due to buggy third party apps
- Facebook and Twitter are integrated, you can post updates without using the official Facebook or Twitter apps
- beautiful, functional but unique app design that looks totally different from iOS or Android
- good camera with dedicated camera key

The bad:
- Customization is limited if you're into this kind of thing. You can change the lockscreen wallpaper and the colour of the tiles, and also rearrange them, but that's about it.
- It will NOT get WP8, along with any other phone currently running WP7. However, there's still a major update coming (WP7.8) which will have more homescreen customization such as differently sized tiles.
- you need to install Zune or the Mac Connector to sync music and pictures
- No notification center. Homescreen tiles will show you how many emails, messages, etc. that you have, but there's no dedicated place for notifications. Some people don't mind, for others this is a dealbreaker.
