How to get rid of emails from Facebook?

I get tons of emails a day from Facebook all about stuff that I don't need to be emailed for. I've tried disabling all email from facebook on the notifications settings page, but I still get emails! I have a shaw webmail account and I need it for serious stuff, not stuff like someone commented "lol" on a picture. Please help!

Just go under edit preferences and you can choose what notifications you want to be emailed for, if any at all.

Click "Settings" on the top bar in between "<your name>" and "log out". Then click the "Notifications" tab on the next page, and turn them all off. Then save changes.

Just go to your account preferences and check your account alert option and there you can find many alerts which are selecting as sent to your email. Disable them all and click on save.
