Do you add people on facebook you don't talk to?
I have around 150 friends on facebook and I don't hang out with any of them. The majority are people I know from school or from camp. Why the hell are they requesting me if they never have the intention of talking to me? I don't get it. I add them so I don't offend anyone but I think its pointless.
Any ideas?

i have about 300-350 friends. most are people from school or relatives or acquaintances in some way. who cares if its pointless? maybe you might want to talk to them someday or ask a question. facebook is a good site because you can connect with relatives, and old friends.

I accept friend requests from people like that. Then I wait, and if they never talk to me or comment on any of my stuff, I just go through and delete them after a while. Most people like that will have no idea who is missing from their friends list even if they do happen to notice that their friend count has gone down.

haha i have the same amount of friends you do. i mean i used to talk to them once or twice because i knew them from somewhere like school, camp, or a vacation. but i guess it's a way to get in touch just in case or maybe to have friends on facebook. but there are a lot that are really close and i probably talk to a lot though.
