How can I be "Scene"?
I know the general question is pretty retarded, but I couldn't think of a different way to phrase it. I want to be scene, but I don't want to be a poser, I hate posing, and if I tried to be scene, would I be called a poser? Because if I would be, I would give up of being scene. I really like the style, and the hair, and of course, the MAKE-UP! Guys, please do not call me a poser, or anything like that, just tell me if I try this will I become a stupid fake poser. I am seriously already into vibrant colors, and skinny jeans, I suck at hair, but I can do good if I try, I just need tips and pointers. Just please don't be mean.

just copy the bits you like. and stop trying to label yrself just wear and compose your look however you want it to be. doesn't have to be the same style everyday either. my top tip for whatever you go for though - liquid eyeliner. i would actually self combust without it

word...

people call me scene all the time so here we go.

fer sure posers are the worst, thats why your transition to the 'scene' style should be slow, genrally scene is not a style but more a life style.. do the following and you'll be classified as scene...

1)Become active on social networking sites. Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter are the main ones... if you want to be majour scene like accept all friend requests.

Take pictures for your page. Only upload images if they look good, and only take pictures if you know how. Taking pictures from the bottom angle, (taking it from your hips with the camera looking up), is unflattering. Instead, take an overhead picture with you looking up, or a mirror shot.

Add scene music. Bands like Metro Station, M.I.A., Tokio Hotel, Bring me the horrizon, The Medic Droid and Cute is What We Aim For all fall in that category. Change your song every week to prevent playing an old song. Scene music has a large range; it involves most music except country and most rap. scene kids heart there music so go to heaps of shows etc

2) Get the writting style- when on aim services add 's' and 'z' to the end of things like 'lols' or lols or you can invent things like sometimes i write...'lawl' or lolgasm lolers etc. Abbreviations are also good like gtfo- get the fuc*(darn yahoo making me astrix it) out or like stfu- shut the fuc* up etc

3) hair for girls....genrally very layered with a fringe, tease the hair at the roots as to create that big hair, length is genrally not a problem although majourity of the scene queens have quite long hair. genrally scene hair is straight. add cute clips or a small tiara is also appropriate, even hair ribbons are good. you can add coloured streaks etc.

4) shoes- As a scene girl, you should wear shoes such as ballet flats, Converse, or high heels. As long as it's bright and eye-catching, it will look great. For customisation, add things like neon shoelaces or get your friends to sign them. Make sure it looks personalised.

5)makeup- lots of eyeliner and bright colourful eyeshadow and false eyelashes. adding wings to the side of your eyes is popular.

6) clothes- bright colourful things... band shirts are acceptable, singlette tops black and colourful, skkinnies- black and other colours such as purple..., coloured stockings with fishnets over the top...tutus......youy have to get the right combinations.....you should look to the 'scene wueens' for inspiration...

7) Accesorise. Things like clunky, oversized necklaces, big rings, or huge bracelets all are at home with being scene. Have a jewelry supply with random things in bright colours. Earrings should be big and noticeable. A kiki kannibal koture piece is a must..visit her website

TIPS-
Don't limit yourself to one scene style, as there are many; glamour scene and glamcore are also scene. They just have more to do with designer labels.
Use popular scene queens for inspiration on how to look and dress. Examples of these would be Raquel Reed, Audrey Kitching, Philfingerbang, Zui Suicide, Kiki Kannibal, Hannabeth, and Jeffree Star.
Make sure that you are very careful with your hair.(NOT THT I CAN TALK NOUT THT SHH LAWL) It's good to use a thermal protection spray applied in your hair before your straigten or curl. It's also nice to buy lots of hairspray. Brands like Bed Head,Sexy Hair, or Beyond Zone are all reputable brands.
When adding yourself to social networking sites, stay away from Stardoll. Stardoll contains a lot of posers trying to get a reputation in the scene world.

hope i helped....?

sorry for an essay of an answer

Personally I think the label scene is pretty silly. I can understand why youd use it to describe what look you want though. I think if you just chose stlyes you like, like colours, skinnys. I used to backcomb my hair everyday. It took a while to get it right but i found using fine combs and backcombing from the bottom of the hair and sides nerer the front gives added hegiht. Also volumising hairsprays great Smile.
If you dont act like a fake poser its fine, you tend to find some scene kids have an attitude with it where they look down on "normal" people or whatever and think their awsum. Thats why most of them get that pinned to them but if people judge you before knowing you its sad ayway.
good luck with it anyway just go with what you like and feel comfortable in Smile
