How do u get facebook status updates and notifications sent to ur phone?

My friend was telling
me how she can receive txt messages that tell her when she has a new notification on her phone she can also send texts and she can upload a pic and change her facebook status that way! How do I do that?

On your Home Page, click the drop-down menu for Account > then go to Account Settings > click on Notifications > then in blue should be something that reads "Send notifications to my phone via SMS".

Simply fill out the requirements (Carrier, Phone number, etc.)

in the drop down box "account", click on "account settings"

Click on"mobile" tab, type your phone number, and you will get a conformation code as sms, type it in the box that appears and ... ur mobile gets activated.
then, Facebook sends you sms, how to post and that stuff, and that's all.
you can manage many more setting in that same tab...
