Yahoo Avatar not allowing photo upload?
I just made this Yahoo account, and tried to upload a picture of a camel. It is in .jpg format, but Yahoo kept giving me an error message saying that it's an "invalid file type". So I got another picture, in .png format, but I got the same error message. How can I fix this?

It could be that Yahoo! only has one error message to cover two different avatar errors, because when your Yahoo! Profile is hidden that prevents you from having any avatar other than the default exclamation point.
Unhiding it does not usually affect your privacy settings on Answers; it normally only allows the information you may have written about yourself on Y! Profile (http://profile.yahoo.com/y/edit/ ) and chosen to share to become public. However, if you are sharing updates your Q&A may show up publicly on Y! Profile or on Y! Messenger or Facebook or Twitter; settings to change that are in the sources below. To unhide your Y! Profile click on My Activity > View your Yahoo! profile > Settings (gear icon) > Privacy. http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ then click the button left of "Your profile is currently hidden". Hopefully, this is the only issue preventing you from having a custom avatar. If there is still a problem, perhaps your photo file is too large. In that case you'd need to reduce the size before submitting or try a different photo. Ads |
