My new girlfriend is bisexual - Could that have any bearing on our relationship?
I've just gotten a new girlfriend, and I friend her on Facebook. Her profile says Interested in "Men and Women". I ask another friend about it, and he says, yeah, she's bisexual, but she's only dated guys before. My question, this may sound paranoid, but could this have any bearing on our relationship? I'm not saying she's going to be stolen away by some woman, just, could this have any bearing on anything? Never been in this situation before...

You could get lucky when she invites a friend for a threesome.

A relationship involving a bisexual can be tricky. Some of us are more than happy to be monogamous (as it sounds like she is), while others have a harder time sticking to being with one gender at a time. If she has recently come to terms with her sexuality, she may still be working to understand exactly what that means for her and her relationships.
I think the biggest thing you can do is simply open a dialogue about it. Talk to her, voice any concerns you may have, and really, truly listen to what she has to say in return. |
