This guy asked me to be his girlfriend but how long should I wait for him to change the relationship status?

This guy just asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday. I'm kinda lame so I get excited about the whole changing the facebook relationship status, but I don't want to be the one to initiate it and look desperate. I would rather he do it, but how can I get him to do it? Do you think he'll probably do it soon anyway?

Maybe he hasn't had a chance to go on facebook since your relationship started.

If you want to change the relationship status, go ahead.

If you want to wait and see if he changes it, you should wait until you have proof he's been on facebook (example: he posts a comment on someone's profile). If you know he's been on facebook but he hasn't changed his relationship status, you should change it.

I'd be excited to change the relationship status too. I've been single the whole time I've been on facebook (almost 4 years).

After all, you're in a relationship so your facebook profile should say it.

Another idea is to list yourself as in a relationship, but don't list him yet. Maybe if he sees that, he'll take the hint and list himself as in a relationship with you.
