How to form a girl group?
Basically I have always wanted to be a singer but I have come round to thinking that I would be better as part of a group. I have the voice but I also have nerves and I think that being in a group of friends would help with this. As well as the fact that I think having the career of my dreams would be much more fun if i had friends to enjoy iand share it with.
For these reasons I have been trying to form a girl group but I cannot find anyone suitable.
I just wanted to know some useful places (websites or otherwise) to advertise and any other useful information. I have tried writing a twitlonger and using Facebook and Twitter to promote but noone is replying as of yet.
So I need some places to advertise that have a large audience so that the advert will be seen by as many people as possible. Any information is welcome. Thank you!

Right now, your best method of advertising is to be found online. Social networking is about the best free advertising that you can get right now. What you want to do to promote yourself, is to start with a youtube account that has videos with hashtags so they are easily found under those searchable keywords. It is important not to just advertise with your basic information seeking fellow singers, people want to know what kind of music you like and your style. If you make yourself accessible with certain keywords, people who are also searching will better be able to find you.

As you gain more views, you will perhaps gain a network of friends to build upon there, and you can encourage others to check out your videos for more views, and ask friends to pass on your link to others. You can use facebook, twitter, or any other social networking sites to build a reputation for yourself. Once people know who you are, you will have a better chance of finding likeminded potential bandmates.

Renting any official advertising space is going to be costly and will not benefit someone who is not already established, as people want to work with someone who is not starting from scratch with no connections. Standing on your own two feet is crucial before you can build a group. Smile

Good luck!
