how do u start chating on facebook it keeps shuting down every time click chating?
the facebook page closes down every time i go to start chating and it says an error has occured

There are technical problems with the application that facebook are trying to sort out. You could contact them and let them know or alternatively wait till all technical problems are sorted out.

when you have online friends click where it says how many are on - then click on one of their heads, this pops up a "chatting box" just type something in and hit enter - they should reply.

Don't know why this wouldn't work
