My wife called an ex boyfriend a few times behind my back,
She ran into him on facebook, She said that since I am mad about it she will discontinue all contact with him. I have no choice but to trust her. I can't seem to get this off my mind and it has been abot a week already.

You are right that you have to trust her.

And no, it is not okay in ordinary circumstances. I mean, if they dated for a week when they were twelve, you probably should not be concerned. Just keep an eye on her.
