It should use SMS, so you'll be fine. The only way it'll cost money is if it gets sent over a data plan.

I don't think so, I have Verizon with unlimited texting and when I was getting it sent to my phone my parents never said anything to me about it. So, I'm guessing there weren't any extra charges.

Twitter updates don't transfer through an SMS server (texting). You need to be able to utilize online features of your cellular telephone's subscription provider (Verizon, Spint, etc). So any monetary charges to your account will be for using connecting to online sites.

Country Code: 1 (North America Country Code).
It depends on the cell phone and the application you are looking at. I use a blackberry, and I know there are free twitter applications for my Blackberry that use push (kinda means twitter sends you the information on changes) to send the data to my Blackberry. Try doing a google search for: YourPhoneType Freeware Twitter Application As a rule of thumb if a web location can be redirected to an email address for updates - it can reach your phone. |
