Is she hinting for me to back off? What should I do?

So I asked this girl from my college class if we could hang out sometime during the summer through a facebook message, she said "yeah sure" and went on telling me about how she's going to visit her ex in the other state for one week, then she told me she doesnt have any planned for summer, just summer school. and she ended the message with lol. Is she hinting that I should back up or leave her alone? please help?

I do think she is hinting for you that it was a "no". She's just doing it in a polite way, so as to not be rude.

I don't think "lol" alone can convey that she's totally not interested and wants you to stay the hell away from her. I know some people who use "lol" all the time - unnecessarily. But if you're still skeptical, send her a private message and explain some possible dates for you to come down in the summertime and what you plan on doing.

It sounds like you two aren't very close, just classmates... so going alone might be a little weird... unless she expects a relative stranger whom she only knew for 3 hours out of the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a semester to stay at her place.

Maybe bring some friends and stay at a hotel/motel and have your own itinerary planned and invite her to social gatherings. That way it's a friendlier atmosphere. If you have plans on hooking up, then bring a wing-man.
