Is there a law against having animals in close proximity to food?
In my university's dining hall a bird has gotten inside and has been here for months. they have caught it but kept it as a mascot, with its own facebook page. They feed it french fries and it sh*ts everywhere.

I don't know the law but that's disgusting. I'm sure there has to be some type of law if it's going to the bathroom everywhere. Call your local board of health and ask them.

There is no world-wide law on the subject. There may be a health code in your country, state or county or there may not be. In my state, there can be no animals in the food-preparation area, but there is no law prohibiting keeping an animal in "close proximity to food."
