How should i break up with my girlfriend.?

So its been 3 months and 21 days. She still really like me but I think it needs to end. How should I do it without trying to be mean.? She just posted something on facebook thinking something good is about to happen. HELPP!!

First off do it IN PERSON. Text messages, calling, threw friends are just making the break up worse.
Second do not say any "its not you its me" kind of things. Just be honest with her.. Tell her how you feel. But do not be rude about it. Tell her you do not think this is working and you do not want to lead her on or something along those lines. Just make sure to remember she will probably cry and that she is a person too.

Make sure you really want to do this. Then, if you are sure, meet up with her in person, at a place where you both can easily leave, and tell her you think shes really ___ and dating was fun, but you are ready to end the relationship. Be prepared to give reasons (and be very gentle) on why you want to break up. Then get the heck outta there!!!!!!!!!!
