What are your experiences with facebook? Was it kind of a novelty that you got tired of or do you continue to use it? Is it better than just emailing people you want to be in contact with? Thanks in advance for your input.

I recently opened up a Facebook. I think it is very family oriented compared to Myspace. It is a great way to share pictures and talk to friends. I would say go for it!

it's a good way to stay connected. some talk more on their than they do in person. and they have TONS of other stuff to do like games, and quizzes, then it shows how your friends did.

Yes, but be aware that is isn't private at ALL. Facebook keeps a record of your name and everything you put on there and sells the info to other companies. That is why when you put your cell on there you might be getting a few spam messages.

By posting your photos on Facebook, you give them the right to sell and redistribute them however they would like. Which means if you post some artwork you recently did and are really proud of it, they can sell it and make profit over you.

Yes it is good, but their corporate greed has just gone out of control.

Facebook is one of the best ways to connect with friends and relatives. Facebook allows you to link up with your family even more, by offering a section in your information called 'Siblings', 'Parents' etc, where you can confirm each other as family members.

Myspace is terrible and lacks most of Facebook's features. Facebook also features a clean and easy-to-navigate design - and will likely be around long after Myspace is deserted. You can send private messages, you can post on each others walls, and there are plenty of applications and other uses that make Facebook one of the most powerful places to connect with other individuals online.

Keep in mind, in regards to an above answer, that Facebook does have a history of bad policies, such as not making anything default private. Everything is public, but you can easily make the necessary changes in your privacy settings to make your profile as open or closed as you want.

Facebook is so much easier. Its great to connect with family members who dont have a myspace. Most older people dont have a myspace or some people think its overrated (it is) so they make a facebook! I talk to my cousin on there since she doesnt have a myspace. I get to see all the family pics etc.
