Are there any ways to turn off notifications on facebook?

I'm a facebook noobie. My mom wanted me to be her "neighbor" in a game called garden of times but she said I didn't have to play.


But I'm still getting wall post from it even though I don't play. Is there a way I can be her neighbor, not play, and not get any junk posted on my wall?

when you delete the post from the wall it should give you a few option. click revoke publishing rights.
