Can I close my email account that I use for my facebook and still be able to use fb with that email?
I want to close the current email I've got and go with a different service. Can you change the email you use to login on facebook? Will I have to use the same email for logging into facebook even though I'm closing the account?

yes, make another email account then go to your facebook account settings and enter your new email. Then you can delete your old email.
