TWITTER...why is there a lock icon by my name?
does anyone know why i have a grey lock icon by my name when im on twitter? and how to get it off?

It means that your tweets are protected. Basically people you don't know can't see your tweets unless they follow you or you follow them. It also means that you have approve those that follow you. You can take it off by clicking the down arrow next to your username (the top right hand corner) and click settings. Scroll down to tweet privacy and unclick "protect my tweets"
