why do people on facebook like the wrong things?

Like I see posts that aren't funny or good and people "like" them. Like my friend said shes in the hospital and feels like crap because they had to poke her like 20 times to get the needle in and people are pushing like. Isn't that the opposite of what the like button was made for? I wonder if someone posted something like i just totaled my car or my dad is leaving for good if people would push like.

they 'like' it so that you'll know how it feels..or that you feel sorry for them or somewhere along those lines.

ppl do that becuz like i said it on fb one time when i noticed the same thing its the fact that some ppl are more interested in when bad things are happening other then good things i mean the world is crazy now days and you have to becareful who and wat u say out loud now days on fb becuz ppl like to read that and enjoy it when all they do is not really care cuz if they really cared they wouldnt be likeing it but tryin to find out why that is happening or etc u kno but its the fact that if i posted right now mi dog got ran over by a truck some ppl would like it but like i said some ppl are just crazy and just like when bad things happen and others hate when bad things happen to someone thats really good u kno

Haha, im also wondering about that too. Facebook should atleast add some links that people can choose from.
Last month, one of my friends posted that her father died because of a cancer. 5-7 people pushed the like button. Isn't it very awkward. ;(

Well to some it might be funny well I do wow 20 times that has to hurt. I will also push like since it took me 6 times to poke a person in the vain specially since he was fat. And some will push like just because they do not like you but laugh at your misery hahahahahahahaha =)
