How are my facebook friends seeing my twitter?

I just made a twitter account dedicated to 1D and I noticed on the Settings thing it said "Connect Your Tweets To Facebook". It said below it your "Your account is not connected to Facebook." So I thought I was ok. Two days later one of my friends from Facebook FOLLOWS MY TWITTER. It's completely embarrassing and I don't know how they even found it. Is EVERYBODY seeing this page? How? I don't even know if I'm using the same email for my Facebook and Twitter. Can somebody try to explain what happened to me and how I fix it?

Jusyt disable the twitter app of fb. It would wiork

This is due to the fact that your facebook account is merged with your twitter.

I believe you can control the link, 2 words: Privacy Settings. You can check whether your twitter is seen to your friends only or you family or even open for everybody.

Your twits are visible on your wall and vice versa (your facebook wall is open on your twitter).

Check privacy settings.
