I am being summoned to court by a Woman who lives 5 hours away and I can not afford to drive there and pay for a lawyer. Can a lawyer represent me and me not have to travel all that way?

Yes you should do that. You should also get the lawyer to change the venue to where you live. Then you will not have to travel so far.

Yes, however it would be dumb to do so as there are many factors involved in this that could mean the difference between you having enough money left to live on our not. I assume you got her pregnant. Are you challenging paternity? You should as 30% of them come back negative. Also, paying child support does not grant you any rights to the child. Does she live in another state? If so, they do not have long arm jurisdiction over you and the case can be heard in your state and county.
