She recently posted on her Facebook page, "everything happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is you're stupid and make bad decisions. Is this directed at herself and she might be thinking about what she has done or is it supposed to be directed at somebody else?

I dont know - try asking her. People only post on facebook because they want people to see and therefore want people to ask.

my motto is just, drama is stupid. Tell her that if she hates your husband oh well. Its your life not hers.

His sister? Well, if he's older than her, he should keep her in line, some how, make her apoligize. If everything happsnes for a reason, maybe she'll think about that in connection with whatever your husband does about this matter. Directed at herself or at somebody else? Maybe both, but mostly someone else. That's my guess. I don't know where she got that theory, but one of my facebook friends, once posted it. Hmmmmmmmmmm I wonder.

Considering her stubborn streak, I would bet that she is making a snide comment about someone else. I don't think she is that self aware. If she means to be apologetic, she should do it more directly. Don't give her this much of a pass.

If she's exhibited this sort of behavior for 8 years, why would you expect to get an apology now?

My guess is the facebook post is an acknowledgment that she knows shes been an a**, but she doesn't know how to make an apology or isn't ready to give one yet.

At any rate, it is too soon to tell if she's beginning to change her behavior. I'd say that you need to keep your distance from her until you can really see a change. Don't keep putting yourself in the same position with her if you keep getting burned.
