How do I convince my mom to get me a phone?

my older brother got a phone right before 6th grade started (for him). Now i'm over half-way through the 6th grade year, and my mom will not get me one. all my friends have one, and i want one really bad. My mom says its becouse i lose stuff all the time, but I haven't lost anything since the 3rd grade. What do I do?

You need to build up her trust in you, don't lie, don't lose things etc. And even then, you might have to wait a while.
For me, I didn't get a phone until I was in grade 9, when my younger brother got his when he was in grade 7
And remember, it isn't the end of the world for you to not have a phone....I'm in grade 12 now and all my friends are on facebook and I'm still not allowed on, but you don't see me crying around the place trying to convince my mum....anyways, hope that doesn't sound rude, im just trying to put it in perspective for you.
