How do i stop facebook from accessing contacts on my email and phone?
They appear on my suggested friends list and some of them are not even in my email so i know they've accessed my phone contacts
School IT Tech: no, these people don't share any friends with me, facebook use the link to your email and access contacts and find them on facebook and then show them as suggested friends. they do this to everyone who's tried the option of "find your friends using email" but that option has now disappeared from the options Ads |

Suggested friends are there because you both share a friend on facebook.
They may never have been anywhere near your profile ever. You may not know them. They just happen to share a friend with you. It has nothing to do with your phone number or email address. Welcome to the wonderful world of Facebook, Twitter and Google
which are all interlinked which means you have no privacy! You'll just have to go into your settings and disable all settings suggesting friends or links etc. |
