how do you stop farmville push notifications to iphone?

i want push notifications from farmville to stop popping up on my iphone i don't mind notifications about comments or friend requests but the farmville notifications have to stop. i have already gone into my iphones sttings to facebook app to push notifications and turned off application requests but they still come through it is so annoying and i want it to stop. can anyone help me?

It was driving me crazy too! My iPhone 3G didn't used to do that many. But when I got the iPhone 4 it started doing it. I think I finally figured it out. Go to Settings - then at the bottom where your apps are listed go to Facebook - then go to Push Notifications. There you can set the notifications for all the things FB notifies you about - so you can keep messages and wall posts, etc. on but you can turn off Application Requests.
