Where can I find birth records for a city or hospital in a certain month and year?

I was born in the same room and near the same time as another baby, she even had the female version of my name, in 1994. I've always wanted to find out who she was, is there a way I can?

Try Facebook. It is unlikely that there would be records available online.

Birth and hospital records are protected by privacy laws so unless you are a direct relative, they are not available to the public. Try Google search, and social media such as FaceBook, Twitter and Linked In.

If you still live in the city, or near it, old newspapers on microfilm at the library probably have a "Births" section. It won't be much, just "To Mrs. and Mrs. John Smith, a {son/daughter} on {date}, and, maybe, the hospital. Usually births, marriages, divorces and deaths are lumped under "Vital Statistics" in one section close to or in the classified ads. "Deaths" are not the same as "Obituaries".
